The boys woke to some Leprechaun mischief this morning!
The chairs in the kitchen were overturned and placed on the table…
…someone had built a train track in the living-room…
…and there were gold coins all over the house! Even the milk was green, though Benjamin and Nicholas couldn’t decide if it was the Leprechauns who ate the oatmeal cookie or one of Grandpa’s trolls.
Little Irish elves were even blamed for a trick of Mother Nature. When Nicholas looked out the window this morning, and saw a new dusting of white, he exclaimed, “Benjamin! The Leprechauns made it snow!!”
Now I know who to blame for this insufferably long winter.
Nicholas was in an especially festive mood. He wore his Leprechaun Detector hat for the whole day.
And, he shared his rainbow and pot of gold (a treat from school) with his brother. I just love this idea, made by a parent at Nicholas’ school. I’m keeping it in my back-pocket for next year. Don’t you LOVE it?
Finally, we ended the day with a meal fit for my little imps:
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! And,
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
